Bitcoin forecast: Insiders expect this BTC price until April 2026

Together with Prof. Dr. David Florysiak of IU International University, BTC-ECHO conducted a crypto expert survey, the results of which were published in the BTC-ECHO Insider Report. When asked what Bitcoin price crypto experts from the DACH region predict in the next six months (until April 2026), the following results emerged.

Bitcoin forecast until April 2026

In six months, i.e., until April 2026, survey participants expect an average Bitcoin price of $136,461. In the worst-case scenario, with a probability of 10 percent, the BTC price will reach $90,392. In the best-case scenario, a jump to $179,882 is predicted.

Overall, the 6-month survey shows an upswing compared to the previous quarter. This gives experts an even more bullish stance in light of the new all-time high of $126,198 reached in October.

The market crash that began on October 10th coincidentally occurred during the survey period. Around two-thirds of the ratings submitted were during the peak period, and about one-third were afterward. This timing effect, due to the sample size, should be taken into account when forecasting Bitcoin.

BTC volatility is heating up

The BTC-6M Volatility Index is also calculated from the survey data. This index summarizes the average expected volatility of the BTC price over six months. The new Bitcoin all-time high in October and the subsequent market crash are also reflected in the increased volatility compared to the previous quarter.

The index is at 28.4 points, above the 26.4 points from Q3. The historical volatility of the BTC price prior to the survey over six months is 30.7 (based on daily log returns for the period October 7, 2024 – October 6, 2025).
