Crypto Outlook September: Which Coins Could Rise Now

September is statistically one of the most challenging months in the crypto market. For investors, this means high volatility coupled with frequent altcoin rotations. This presents a good opportunity to take profits or reposition early. While Bitcoin and Ether have been conserving their strength recently, attention is currently turning to altcoins. Data from major trading platforms like Binance is considered a barometer of sentiment – and could provide insight into which tokens will be making waves in the coming days.

According to Binance Netflow data, which tracks token buying and selling flows, Fetch.ai (FET), Amp (AMP), and Synthetix (SNX) experienced particularly strong outflows from the exchange in the first week of September. This could be considered a bullish signal, as many tokens are apparently being transferred to cold wallets or held for the long term—which could favor price increases.

“Potential uptrend”

In addition to the top three, 0x (ZRX) and Ankr (ANKR) also stand out due to significant outflows, as an analysis by Cryptoquant shows. “Such high outflows underscore the strengthening buying sentiment and raise expectations for a potential uptrend in these five altcoins,” it continues. Strong outflows can correlate with price increases. Conversely, inflows signal that price distortions may occur.

Projects like Polygon (MATIC), Chiliz (CHZ), and Sui (SUI) could be affected in the short term. According to Cryptoquant, these have seen significant inflows on Binance, which usually indicates selling pressure. Yield Guild Games (YGG) and Ethereum Name Service (ENS) are also currently falling. If this momentum continues, prices could come under pressure in the second week of September.

What this means for investors

For investors looking to take advantage of short-term market movements, it can be worthwhile to keep an eye on net flow data. It can reveal short-term price gains, while also allowing for timely anticipation of price corrections.

In the long term, however, investors should not rely solely on net flows, but also consider the fundamental developments of the projects. Especially in volatile phases, short-term trends can quickly reverse.
