Solana breaks record in network activity – with restrictions

According to developer Mert Mumtaz, the Solana network reached a new peak of over 100,000 transactions per second. However, the co-founder of the Helius infrastructure project emphasized that these were predominantly so-called noop transactions, which do not result in any state change in the network and therefore have little relevance for real-world applications.

Nevertheless, Mumtaz sees this as an indication of the blockchain's technical potential. Under real-world conditions with transfers and oracle updates, a similar throughput of up to 100,000 TPS is theoretically conceivable. In practice, according to Solscan, Solana currently runs at around 3,600 transactions per second.

BNB breaks all-time high

While the crypto market is largely trending sideways, Binance Coin (BNB) is hitting a new all-time high of $884 – an increase of eleven percent over the past 30 days. This price increase is accompanied by a significant decline in BNB reserves on centralized exchanges – a decline that has often been interpreted as a bullish signal in the past.
