- Strategy now owns more than 3 percent of the total Bitcoin supply that will ever exist. The average Bitcoin purchase price is now $73,913 per BTC, which currently translates to book profits of approximately $26 billion.
- The purchases were financed through the issuance of perpetual preferred stocks such as STRK, STRC, STRF, and STRD. These are part of the expanded “42/42” plan, with which Strategy aims to mobilize a total of $84 billion for Bitcoin purchases by 2027. - Co-founder and Executive Chairman Michael Saylor commented on the latest acquisition, saying, “Bitcoin deserves credit.” He also hinted that more purchases could follow soon. Strategy leads the rankings of Bitcoin treasury holders by a wide margin, while more and more publicly traded companies like Marathon, Riot, and Coinbase are building their own BTC reserves.
- Despite its size, Strategy was recently excluded from the S&P 500. Instead, the index operators opted for AppLovin, Robinhood, and EMCOR. JPMorgan calls this a “blow to all Bitcoin Treasuries.”
- Strategy demonstrates the importance of owning real Bitcoin. Those who, like Strategy, truly want to profit from its potential rely on physical coins – for example, via regulated platforms like Bitpanda, where Bitcoin can be purchased safely and easily.
