Bitcoin and Blockchain: Europe's Leading Crypto Journalists 2025

Every industry needs expert journalists who can inform, research, and provide context, and the crypto sector is no different. The topic of Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology is becoming increasingly important, but unfortunately, editorial quality isn't keeping pace in all media outlets. Misleading or even factually inaccurate articles about the crypto sector are, regrettably, not uncommon.

For this reason, the Düsseldorf-based communications agency newskontor has compiled a list of 80 journalists from Europe who have demonstrated their crypto expertise in recent years.

The list includes media representatives from traditional daily newspapers, technology and business publishers, as well as from “crypto-only” media outlets. These include Astrid Dörner from Handelsblatt, Sascha Rose from Focus Money, and Casper Tobias Schwenk from Finance Forward.

Crypto adoption through media work

With the US government's legitimization of Bitcoin and crypto assets, interest is growing worldwide. This once niche topic is also increasingly gaining attention here in Germany – in politics, among companies, and in the national perception. Especially now that the asset class is significantly more accessible to private investors, journalists are needed to inform about the opportunities and risks of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and to classify them for the public, according to the press release announcing the list.
