Three Token Unlocks This Week
The crypto market expects $513 million worth of tokens to be unlocked in the second week of September 2025. Aptos (APT), Sonic (S), and Cheelee (CHEEL) will issue significant volumes of new tokens.
These events can cause volatility in the market and affect short-term price changes.
1. Cheelee (CHEEL)
- Unlock date: September 13
- Number of tokens to unlock: 20.81 million CHEEL (2.08% of total supply)
- Total volume: 1 billion CHEEL
Cheelee is a social media platform called GameFi where users earn cryptocurrency for watching short videos. The project is based on the “attention economy,” where users’ time and attention are converted into income.
The team will unlock 20.81 million CHEEL on September 13th. The supply is estimated at $55.78 million.
Cheelee will allocate 10.58 million tokens as rewards. The team will also use 7.55 million and 2.64 million CHEEL for marketing and liquidity. In addition, the network will leave around 36,720 tokens for distribution to the community.
2. Aptos (APT)

- Number of tokens to unlock: 11.31 million APT (0.96% of total supply)
- Current Circulating Supply: 688.5 million APT
- Total volume: 1.17 billion APT
Aptos is a layer-one blockchain platform using the Move programming language to bring scalability, security, and efficiency to decentralized applications (dApps) and Web3 ecosystems.
On September 11, Aptos will unlock 11.31 million APT tokens, worth approximately $49.42 million. These tokens represent 1.64% of the current market cap.
The team will allocate 3.96 million tokens to the main participants. The community will receive 3.21 million APT. Investors and the fund will receive 2.81 million and 1.33 million tokens, respectively.
3. Sonic (S)

- Number of tokens to unlock : 150 million S (4.6% of total supply)
- Total offer : S3.22 billion
Sonic is a next-generation blockchain for decentralized finance (DeFi). It offers high transaction speeds, fast finality, and EVM compatibility. The network offers an efficient, scalable, and developer-friendly ecosystem for building modern financial applications.
On September 9, the network will issue 150 million tokens worth $46.47 million. This will support Sonic's plans to expand in the United States.
Meanwhile, other projects such as Movement (MOVE), BounceBit (BB), io.net (IO) and peaq (PEAQ) will also unlock tokens this week, which could add to the overall market effects.
