A new consulting firm made up of former administration officials has opened in Washington, D.C., to help cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence companies develop U.S. policy.
NexusOne Consulting is led by Jeff Ifrah, a white-collar defense attorney; Jim Trusty, a former government lawyer who represented the Trump administration; and Ross Branson, who served in the Commerce Department during President Donald Trump's first term.
“We see a unique opportunity to shape the future of technology policy,” Ifrah said in a press release. “Our goal is to ensure that innovators not only respond to policy, but actively influence it.”
Trump has declared his intention to make the United States the “crypto capital of the world” and has begun to form a strategic reserve of bitcoins.
Situated directly across from the White House, NexusOne positions itself as a bridge between the private sector and government agencies. The firm plans to lobby for companies working at the intersection of AI, cryptocurrency, and social platforms.
