Bitcoin mining firm Bitdeer (BTDR), with revenue of $109,866.51, increased its independent cryptocurrency mining capacity and expanded its international operations in May, according to the company's monthly report.

Last month, the Singapore-based company mined 196 BTC, up 18% from April, as it activated the deployment of its SEALMINER A2 rigs in data centers in the US, Norway, and Bhutan.

The company's native hashrate now stands at 13.6 exahashes per second (EH/s), thanks to the launch of SEALMINER A1 machines with a capacity of 3.9 EH/s and the ongoing rollout of the A2 series.

During the month, Bitdeer also provided 1.6 EH/s SEALMINER A2 rigs to external customers, indicating growing adoption of its mining hardware.

The company's infrastructure expansion is also progressing. In Norway, 70 megawatts (MW) of the planned 175 MW expansion at Tydal are already operational, with the remaining 105 MW expected to be operational by the end of June.

In Bhutan, power has begun to flow at the Jigmeling facility, with plans to bring an additional 368 MW online for a total capacity of 500 MW. A 221 MW facility in Massillon, Ohio, is moving toward phased completion in the second half of the year.

The company is expanding its presence in new markets. Bitdeer is developing a 50 MW site in Ethiopia with the support of a local partner and has secured a fully licensed property in Alberta, Canada, where it will build a natural gas power plant to support mining operations.

In May, Tether leveraged its previous funding round by giving Bitdeer $50 million in cash in exchange for over 5 million shares. Looking ahead, Bitdeer says it remains on track to reach 40 EH/s in independent mining power by October.
