One Bitcoin A miner with made an amazing move over the weekend by independently solving block 910440 and receiving 3.137 BTC worth over $362,000.
The block contained over 4,100 transactions and was processed through CKpool, a platform that allows private participants to contribute computing power without formally joining a mining pool.
The miner used about 9 petahashes per second of computing power, giving it only a one in 800 chance of finding a block within 24 hours. CKpool administrator Con Kolivas noted that this was only the 305th block found by a single miner since the start.
