“With blockchain and stablecoins, we're restoring money to peer-to-peer transactions,” the Tether CEO articulated his firm’s long-term objective at Token2049. The often-costly remittance payments from foreign workers could already be managed efficiently today by using dollar stablecoins.
Even with just about 200 team members, Tether produced a striking profit of $4.9 billion during the second quarter of 2025. This positions the USDT issuer as a strong contender for the designation of the world’s most profitable corporation.
