Satoshi Needs You: Bitcoin Supporters Call for Action to Protect Peer-to-Peer Networks
Following the disappointing results of Tornado Cash's testing this summer and the Samourai Wallet case, it is more important than ever to protect the rights of peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions.
That's why the Bitcoin Policy Institute has joined forces with Save Our Wallets, CoinCenter, the Bitcoin Design Foundation, and regional Bitcoin hubs across the United States to launch the “Satoshi Needs You!” campaign.
Bitcoin's self-sufficiency is under threat, but there's still hope! @Btcpolicyorg, @CoinCenter, @SaveOurWallets, and others are launching a decentralized campaign to mobilize Bitcoin supporters and urge Congress to protect the rights of peer-to-peer, data-free software.

The initiative aims to encourage Bitcoin enthusiasts from coast to coast to contact their elected representatives to support the Blockchain Regulation Act (BRCA) provisions included in the latest version of the Senate-passed CLARITY bill.
This bill provides robust protections for developers and providers of non-custodial crypto technologies, as well as for ordinary users who use non-custodial Bitcoin and crypto instruments.
Without such protections, Bitcoiners may lose their right to freely transact with Bitcoin, and we may see more developers held accountable for creating non-custodial crypto technologies.
“This is a moment of great danger and great opportunity for the Bitcoin network,” said Kyle Olney, co-founder of SaveOurWallets.org, in a press release provided to Bitcoin Magazine.
“We can't be sure of anything until our fundamental rights to economic freedom in the digital sphere are enshrined in law. We need EVERY Bitcoiner to participate in this process, contact their representatives in Washington, D.C., and ensure that pro-Bitcoin policies are continued in this Congress,” he added.
“We have a responsibility to fight for our freedoms, such as the right to make trades, and to pass on these rights to future generations.”
So please don't delay: Go to SaveOurWallets.org immediately to learn more about the CLARITY Act and get your Senators' contact information so you can contact them and ask them to support the latest version of the Senate bill, especially Section 109.

With your help, we can ensure that we have the freedom to use Bitcoin the way Satoshi intended – as peer-to-peer electronic cash that doesn't require third parties or identity information.
Each of us must do everything we can to ensure that Bitcoin, a system founded on American values of economic and financial freedom, remains open and easily accessible to everyone.
