Bitcoin whale moves $116 million in BTC after 11 years of inactivity

A dormant Bitcoin wallet that has been inactive for over 11 years has moved 1,000 BTC worth about $116.6 million, Lookonchain analysts report, citing data from the Arkham platform.

The wallet with the address “1NzH…DrtpZo” transferred all funds to four new addresses. These bitcoins were originally received in January 2014, when the price of BTC was about $847.

The identity of the wallet owner and the new addresses has not yet been established.

At press time (10 p.m. ET Tuesday), Bitcoin was trading at $116,637, up 1.3% on the day.
