Then we entered October and the last quarter of 2020 and we looked back at the top winners and losers.

Furthermore, Russian oligarch is set to launch a DeFi “cryptobank”, a major consulting company said crypto is finally being taken seriously by the taxman, Deutsche Bank said that at this stage of CBDC development we need a reality check, and Japan’s ruling party will urge the government to release a digital currency asap or risk falling behind. Three BitMEX execs were charged with operating an unregistered trading platform, Kik lost against SEC as the judge “shredded” ICOs, judges in China have been handing out penalties to some PlusToken crypto scam chiefs, and South Korean bank employee embezzled USD 159,000 of bank funds to buy crypto. Meanwhile, Justin Sun found himself yet again in the centre of numerous allegations, TikTok star Bryce Hall posted about bitcoin on social media and launched a podcast series with Pomp, BTC dropped and gold rose as Trump tested positive for COVID-19, and the Cryptoverse decided that the winner in the Trump-Biden debate was – Bitcoin.
