Brendan Gunn, the brother of Australian breakdancer Ragan, has been charged by Australia’s regulator in connection with a cryptocurrency fraud scheme.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has charged Gunn with a criminal offence punishable by up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine of $37,800, or both.

Reagan, also known as Rachel Gunn, is an Australian breakdancer whose performance at the 2024 Olympics has become the subject of much discussion on social media. Although Gunn was eliminated from the competition, her unusual performance sparked a lot of backlash on social media and led to several viral memes.

ASIC said Brendan Gunn was in possession of two blank cheques from three victims totalling A$181,000 ($113,000) for crypto investments. Gunn was a director at Mormarkets Pty Ltd, which accepted deposits for crypto investments overseas.

Gunn appeared in local court on Tuesday and is due back in court on April 29.
